The desert and the parched land will exult,
the steppe will rejoice and bloom.
We begin each week -- on Sunday -- with Joan's Reading for Sunday from Sparks of Advent Light.
I invite you to read the story -- slowly, perhaps aloud, to savor it even more fully.
Then, react to it -- what does it mean for you, what excites you, concerns you, challenges you, moves you as you read it?
St Augustine tells us that "Hope has two lovely daughters, anger and courage. Anger so that what must not be cannot be and courage so that what can be will be." Given this definition, are you a person of hope?
Share your reflections as you wish and are able ...
Blessings on your Advent journey -- Mary Ellen
