Zoom Retreat Experience
Facilitated by Mary Ellen Plumb, OSB
Based on the book by Joan Chittister, OSB
The gift of mercy wrapped in tenderness is deeply needed in today’s world. “Weep and heal,” Joan Chittister writes in God’s Tender Mercy (Twenty Third Publications, 2010), inviting us all to the courage, reflection, forgiveness and love that draws us forward.
Wherever you are, imagine the impact of 5 or 50 or 5,000 such voices of tender mercy breaking through the hatred, the chaos, the violence, the war and terror that is all too familiar to us and too harsh to bear. What sacred hope this could raise.
On Thursday, June 27 from 10:00 - 1:30 PM ET, we invite you to join other members of Monasteries of the Heart in a retreat experience to explore together the idea of tender mercy and our call to mirror God’s tender mercy in the way of light and love that might lift this world.
We will gather on Zoom for the retreat with time for presentation, personal and shared reflection in small and large groups. The book, God’s Tender Mercy, is currently out of print and not necessary for the retreat; limited copies are available via used bookstores online. Please join with or without the book. Recording will be shared with all retreatants afterward. Register here for $45.00.
